WEAK STORM TO GRAZE BY OUR AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT - THURSDAY....

(5:30p)

The storm system approaching Central and Northern California is now expected to affect our weather a bit more than earlier expected.

For us here in the Coachella Valley, Wednesday will be another toasty one, but high clouds will increase throughout the day, and by Wednesday night and Thursday, a weather change is expected, with:

  • Increasing clouds.
  • Areas of strong west winds, especially along the I-10 corridor and some southern canyon areas.
  • Blowing dust possible at times.
  • High temps will cool about 10-15 degrees.... into the mid to upper 70's for Thursday and Friday .
  • Nearby mountains may experience 1-6 inches of snow, but deserts should mostly remain dry... with a few sprinkles/light rain possible at most on Thursday.

Weather is expected to become fair once again this weekend and into next week. Another Santa Ana Wind condition is possible, which means we may experience high temps flying back up into the 80's or near 90 by Tuesday.

Long range trends are pushing the next possible storm cycle into the first week of March... so enjoy the toasty dry weather while it lasts!
